Mauritius fiscal gap seen falling to 3.3 pct of GDP

PORT LOUIS (Reuters) - Mauritius sees its budget deficit falling to 3.3 percent for the financial year 2008/09, down from 4.3 percent the year before, Finance Minister Rama Sithanen said in his annual budget speech on Friday.

"The (fiscal) deficit is estimated to continue its downward path as it is projected to reach 3.3 percent of GDP in 2008/09," he told parliament.
