Mozambique economy seen slowing to between 4-6 pct: PM

MAPUTO (Reuters) - Mozambique's economic growth will likely slow to between 4 and 6 percent this year, Prime Minister Luisa Diogo said on Thursday.

"Mozambique is used to having (figures) like 10 percent, 8 percent or 9 percent, but comparing with the situation in the region ... we will have between 4 and 6 percent, (so) I believe that figures will be good," she said in an interview with Reuters.

Mozambique's economy grew by around 6.5 percent in 2008.
