Telkom received offers from Mvelaphanda, Vodafone

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's Telkom has received an offer by a consortium led by Mvelaphanda Group for its entire share capital and another offer from a Vodafone unit for its 50 percent stake in mobile phone operator Vodacom, the group said on Monday.

Telkom said the offer from Mvelaphanda, New York-listed private equity from Och-Ziff and other strategic investors was subject to board confirmation that its stake in Vodacom will be unbundled.
